Nurses and NP’s…
Doctors and PA’s…
Embarking on a career-enhancing Training in Botox and Fillers and other injectables can be one of the most rewarding moves ever. Do you have an entrepreneurial spirit? Do you want to expand your practice and involve patients who want help instead of reacting to the disease process? First step is to take accredited training so you can explore your practice options.
Your training should have all of the following characteristics…
- It should be accredited for CME credit that is accepted by your professional governing body. 90% of the websites out there do not have this. That means AMA, ANCC, AAPA, and AANP accreditation. NO exceptions.
- It should be taught by someone who outranks you and has many years of experience in the field. You should know the name and credentials of your accredited instructor before registering. Most trainings will not tell you up front. RN”s cannot teach accredited training because they cannot design a treatment, and treatment design is the cornerstone of all training in Botox and Fillers. Therefore, RN’s and NP’s should learn from independent NP’s, or MD’s. MD’s and DO’s should only learn from other MD’s and DO’s. While dentists can learn from other dentists, non-dentists should not take these courses since patients request different treatments from dentists and your training will be incomplete.
- It should be small group with hands-on done one-on-one with the instructor. This is best for 6 or fewer attendees per instructor. Also, make sure you get real Botox and Filler to inject with as part of your training. Those with the sub-$2,000 training programs almost universally do not include any injection product in your tuition.
If we stop there, there is only one national training program (with more than 3 sites) who fulfills all of these options.
